Welcome,
Feel free to ask any questions that you may have about the National Breeders Championship. This championship is a new concept in the sport, which allows fanciers to compete against each other in a "series" of One Loft Races.
In order to qualify for the National Breeders Championship, a fancier must enter at least three of the seven One Loft Race Series listed below.
Each one loft race series, may have mutliple races. For simplicity sake, in 2011, we will only consider a breeder's result for the final race in each race series. For some fanciers, this might be a 300 mile race, for others this might be a 350 mile or 400 mile race. If your bird does not clock in the final race of the series, then you will have no entry to submit to the National Breeders Championship.
We will be using the UPR of your bird for the final race in each series that you submit. This calculation is as follows:
The position of your bird in the race divided by the total number of birds entered in that race
For example, if your bird was 12th out of 244 birds shipped then its UPR would be [ 12 / 244 = 0.0492 ].
It will be the breeder's responsibility to submit their three best performances
The selection committee consist of one representitive from each participating One Loft Race Series and one representitive from National Breeders Championship host (theNational.us).
